Stone dust as replacement for fine aggregate in cellular lightweight concrete (CLC): Volume weight and compressive strength

چکیده

Abstract. A type of lightweight concrete called cellular (CLC) has a lower volume weight than ordinary and is made cement, sand, water, foaming agent. In this investigation, CLC was utilized as brick. The purpose study to ascertain how the compressive strength bricks would change if stone dust were used in place fine aggregate. Making with substitutions 0%, 50%, 100% aggregate experimental process study. light-weight that had been cured for 3, 7, 14, 28 days then measured. Because good binding capacity, results showed using it replacement mixture increased strength; highest value obtained at substitution days, which 24.62 kg/cm2. by 0.66 gr/cm3 when 50% dust, 2% 0.67 gr/cm3, 4% 0.68 dust. Due its range 0.6-1.8 brick can still be designated concrete.

Prediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength

Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method.  One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...

Recycled glass as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in structural concrete – Effects on compressive strength

Waste management is becoming a major issue for communities worldwide. Glass, being nonbiodegradable, is not suitable for addition to landfill, and as such recycling opportunities need to be investigated. Due to the high material consumption of the construction industry, the utilisation of waste glass as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in structural concrete is particularly attractive. ...

Flashag – New Lightweight Aggregate for High Strength and Durable Concrete

A new patented lightweight aggregates is tested. This type is given the name Flashag. The only solid raw material used to manufacture these aggregates is fly ash. The aggregates are sintered but not pelletized and the process is easy and inexpensive. This paper describes these patented aggregates and compares them with other lightweight and normal-weight aggregates that are used for concrete. T...
